Q2: I am a member but have not received a Member Login and Password to access the members area
A: Only those members who have advised the Society of their email address will have been issued with a Member Login. Please allow up to 2 weeks for a reply.
Q3: How do I recognise my Member Login and Password ?
A: Your Member Login consists of your Membership Number plus the first 3 characters of your Surname, for example John Smith, with membership number '4321' will have a Member Login of 4321SMI.
If this is your first time of logging in you will need to obtain a password.

Q4: Why can't I login to the members area ?
A: The password is case sensitive so double check that you entered it correctly. For example, if your password is 'AbCd1234' but you enter 'abcd1234' the password will be rejected, causing the login attempt to fail. Member Logins are not case sensitive and it does not matter whether these are entered in upper or lower case.
Please also check the password mailed to you very carefully
as the letter 'I' and digit '1' also O and digit 0 appear very similar, do not enter a space or full stop followingor within your entry.
A: If you still cannot log in after re-entering the password, obtain a new password by the 'Forgotten password' link and enter Member Login and Forgotten password followed by Request new password.
Q5: I've forgotten my password, what can I do ?
A: There is an automated facility for resetting passwords. Enter 'Members Login' from the top menu and then select 'Forgotten Password'. You will be asked to enter your Member Login and select 'Request Password'. A new password will be sent to the e-mail address recorded on our membership file.
If you do not receive an e-mail please check your Junk e-mail folder and then please wait 12 hours before contacting by e-mail the [email protected] or in writing to The Webmaster c/o Kirby Hall address .

Q6: I used the "Forgotten password" link but have not received an email containing my new password. Why not ?
A: We may not have your correct or current email address on file. The automated message would have been sent to the email address we hold on file, not the address you are expecting it to. Please also check that the password response has not been treated as junk mail by checking your junk mail folder.
If
you do not receive an automated email response within 4 hours of using the Forgotten password link then please send an email to [email protected] together with the following information:
- A valid email address
- Your name
- Your Membership number (or if you have forgotten your Membership number your address)
We will check your details are loaded correctly and reset your password. An email containing your Member Login and a Password will then be sent to you. Please note that this is a manual process and it may take up to 2 weeks to deal with your request.

Please ensure that you close the web-browser at the same time.

A: Log in to the members area, select the Amend Details option under the Membership menu and follow the instructions - Do not forget to choose Change or Save before exiting.
