How to Search the NORS database using 'Find a Source' advanced search

Source Search: This facility is located in the menu menu on the left hand side .

This option enables searching for a Parish, Event, Location, etc. The % wildcard cannot be used in this search. There are two options 'Class Details' which searches within record titles also 'Record Details' which searches within record descriptions - see examples below.

Find a Source ‘Class Details’ appears in the menu area on the left of the screen.
Tick ‘Class Details’ and enter a word or phrase, full or partial.
This facility can be used to find ANY word or phrase contained within the class fields such as: registration district, church denomination such as Baptist or Methodist,  etc. but NOT a person name. Further selection from the results will provide a deeper search into NORS where person names can be entered.
