3rd Jan. 2010 Norfolk Online Record Search (NORS) - LIVE !
The Society is pleased to announce the introduction of a Members Area as part of the website. NORS, the Norfolk Online Record Search database will provide Members with online access to the Societies collection of Parish Register Transcripts. NORS will be available from early January 2010 with User Names & Passwords being mailed to Members during January / February 2010. Read more about NORS here.
19th Dec. 2009 Norfolk Online Record Search (NORS)
The Society is currently working towards release of NORS, its searchable database. The database will provide Members with online access to Parish Register Transcripts currently available at Kirby Hall. NORS will be available from early January 2010 with IDs & passwords being mailed to Members in January / February 2010.
12th Dec. 2009 Christmas Arrangements
Kirby Hall will be closed over the Christmas period from Monday, 14th December 2009 until Tuesday, 5th January 2010 for annual Stock Taking.
14th Mar. 2009 Family History Databases - Find-My-Past and Ancestry.com
Access to FindMyPast.com and Ancestry.com is available at Kirby Hall via the computers in the library. Access is free to members and the public. Both of these websites provides original indexes of births, marriages, and deaths for England and Wales and family history records online.
8th Feb. 2009 Who Do You Think You Are? LIVE (2009)
The Norfolk Family History Society will be exhibiting at 'Who Do You Think You Are ? LIVE 2009'. With the largest gathering of TV historians, family history experts and nearly 200 exhibitors, WDYTYA provides an opportunity to fill in the gaps in your family tree and connect with your ancestor's history. The NFHS will be at tables 79 and 80 . Members and non-members are welcome to visit us for expert advice and tips on researching your Norfolk ancestors. Our friendly and knowledgeable volunteers can help you with all of your queries on Norfolk genealogy. We will also have a range of Norfolk books covering every facet of family history to help you learn more about your ancestors from Norfolk.
1st Feb. 2009 1911 Census
The 1911 Census for England and Wales was taken on the night of Sunday 2 April, 1911. Access to the census was officially made available on 13th January 2009. Over 1 million people performed nearly 11.5 million searches for their ancestors, people and places on the 1911 census during the first week.

Database updated to include the latest additions to the Family Trees held at Kirby Hall at July 2008.
23rd July 2008 Parish Register Transcripts
Website database updated to include the latest additions to the Parish Register Transcripts as at 30th June 2008
(Note: only the indexes are available online. Members may consult the full transcripts held at the Society's Kirby Hall library).
4th May 2008 Monumental Inscriptions
Website database updated to include Monumental Inscriptions undertaken in 1st quarter 2008 and information available for existing Monumental Inscriptions has also been updated, for example by inclusion of many indexes. Monumental Inscriptions held by the Society can be found by following the link.
30th Mar. 2008 Pedigrees
A list of Pedigrees held by the Society is now available online. Pedigrees comprise extinct Family Trees and family pedigrees extracted from printed books and files.  The Pedigrees may be viewed by members by consulting the respective books at Kirby Hall library.
