| 30th March 2008 | Norfolk Family History Society - 40th Anniversary To mark the 40th Anniversary since the founding of the Norfolk and Norwich Genealogical Society in 1968 (which later became the Norfolk Family History Society) we will be hosting a STRAWBERRY TEA on Sunday, 27th July 2008, taking place at Wolterton Hall, Norfolk. |
| 16th November 2007 | Christmas Arrangements Kirby Hall will be closed over the Christmas period from Friday December 21st 2007 to Wednesday January 2nd 2008 |
| 11th August 2007 | NFHS AGM The Norfolk Family History Society's 11th Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, 13th October 2007 at Kirby Hall, starting at 12.00pm. Members who are unable to attend in person are requested to return the Proxy form issued with September edition of the Norfolk Ancestor to vote on the proposed Resolutions. Proxy forms should be sent to the Secretary, c/o Kirby Hall to arrive no later than Wednesday, 10th October 2007. |
| 13th July 2007 | Bookshop News Past editions of the Society's journal, 'The Norfolk Ancestor' are now available on CD-Rom. Also, if you have connections with the market-town of Aylsham then you may interested in the various publications available for purchase. Further details are available from the Bookshop pages. |
| 13th July 2007 | Redesigned Norfolk family History Society website launched The website has been designed to have a more modern, fresh appearance. One of the major areas of improvement is to make the website easier to navigate around and find what you want. Content has also been consolidated to reduce the number of pages but without loosing important information of interest to genealogists. Development is ongoing, with the online database being the next area for review. Members of the Society are welcome to contact the webmaster to offer suggestions for improvement or to report any problems. |

| 4th May 2008 | Parish Register Transcripts Website database updated to include the latest additions to the Parish Register Transcripts as at 30th March 2008 (Note: only the indexes are available online. Members may consult the full transcripts held at the Society's Kirby Hall library). |
| 4th May 2008 | Monumental Inscriptions Website database updated to include Monumental Inscriptions undertaken in 1st quarter 2008 and information available for existing Monumental Inscriptions has also been updated, for example by inclusion of many indexes. Monumental Inscriptions held by the Society can be found by following the link. |
| 30th March 2008 | Pedigrees A list of Pedigrees held by the Society is now available online. Pedigrees comprise extinct Family Trees and family pedigrees extracted from printed books and files. The Pedigrees may be viewed by members by consulting the respective books at Kirby Hall library. |

| 4th November 2007 | Monumental Inscriptions Website updated to include over 230 additions to the list of Monumental Inscriptions held by the Society. |
