The Hundreds of Norfolk
Hundreds were an administrative area consisting of a group of parishes which were used prior to the establishment of the Registration Districts.
Generally, Hundreds covered a smaller geographic area than the later Registration Districts with the result that multiple Hundreds were included within the boundaries of a single Registration District at the time the Poor Laws was introduced in 1836.
