Membership Information
Applying to Join the Society
New Members are always welcome and as with all organisations of this type we are only as good as our membership makes us.
The membership year runs from 1st April to 31st March. The annual subscription is payable on application and renewable on 1st April each year, regardless of the original joining date. From 1st February, you may opt to have your application deferred until the start of the next membership year. New members are invited to register the surnames they are researching for publication in The Norfolk Ancestor and in the next edition of the Members' Interest Directory.
Renewal notices are sent to all members with the March edition of the Norfolk Ancestor.
Please read the information below, then print and fill in the forms. You must send both Application and Members Interest forms to the Society on paper, to the postal address given at the end of this page, not by email.

The following forms are optional:
If you have an account with a UK bank, you can issue a bankers order, so that your annual subscription is paid automatically each year. Payment by bankers order reduces administration costs for the Society. You can do this when you join the Society or at any time afterwards.
Gift Aid
If you pay income tax in the UK, you can help the NFHS by paying your annual subscriptions by Gift Aid. This allows the Society to reclaim the tax. If you are thinking of joining us please consider both these options which are explained in full detail on the enclosed forms.
